Rockin' the T-bird

The Globe and Mail (their picture) has now shown at least three front page stories on everyone's favourite T word in the past little while. As Margaret Cho is the de facto expert on things North Korean, so too am I for things Chinese.

Well, I've made an effort not to learn anything about it. I haven't read any of the stories, listened to any commentary, watched any of the blocked youtube videos. I haven't discussed it with anyone.

Why?

Well... for one, I'm not there. I have no more information than any other Canadian. Secondly, I'm busy and if I started blogging about this (which I guess I just have), I won't be able to stop. Third, I may be going back there shortly, and we don't blog about the big T and hope to get a visa.

Not that I'm afraid. I'm just not stupid.

However, in the near future, I may be tempted to comment on the Olympics. With all the Beijing Er Ling Ling Ba propaganda that has been going on since it was first announced that China had won them, it'll be interesting to start looking at what's going to happen, boycotts, the total inability of the country to accomodate that many more people, especially ones who aren't subjugated....

It will also be interesting to look at the Lama, a favourite of mine...

Ok, so maybe I will make some veiled T commentary.

Stay tuned.
