Today is Autumn
Today is officially autumn in China. Not because of a festival, not because of the solstice, but because today is the first day vendors started selling roasted sweet potatos on the side of the street, cooked over small bonfires in old oil barrels.

Update
I have not fallen off the face of the planet. I've just been busy. So, here's what I plan to post about as soon as I get around to it:

- school sports day at LiHu beach in Wuxi (pictures)
- my birthday party in China/Mid Autumn Festival
- my six month china anniversary
- my trip to Tonglu next weekend
- my trip to Xian the week after that (October Holiday - Chinese National Day)
